About the artwork
Ang Ah Tee, one of Singapore's most acclaimed artists, and a Cultural Medaillon recipient, seeks to emphasize the personality and beauty of each landscape he paints. He often is inspired by landscapes that are chaotic, unique, and shaped by invisible inhabitants. Bali, Indonesia, is most known for its traditional temples and architectural structures, which Ang Ah Tee interprets in this landscape, with dark tones, daubs of bright red, and fluid strokes. The artist presents us with a distinct and dynamic portrayal of Bali, encapsulating its identity and beauty.
