About the artist
Born in 1992, Chums J is an emerging Thai artist in the Southeast Asian art scene. Her promising work is an attempt to re-access the traditional artistic influence of impressionism. Working mainly in the medium of oil paints and the use of impasto techniques, she intends to interpret the traditional artistic process in a manner that sparks relevance and becomes relatable to our modernized youth and society. Through her expressive style and technique and bold use of colour, Chumsri explores the themes of spontaneity, happiness and companionship in our global culture today.
