About the artwork

Giving way to a myriad of interpretations, the imagery in 'Lead' depicts a man and woman, hand in hand, as they run atop a mountain, in a state of unbridled joy. Alluding to spiritual journeys by way of the significant presence of a mountain, as well as depicting a harmony of relationships and commune, the sculpture seems to radiate a sense of togetherness and a happiness beyond that of differential barriers. The positioning of the figures also provide subtle implication of liberation, including that of a spiritual nature, that may be found through the ascent and evolution of human relationships.
